New Aprentice by LoganGrimnar42 New Aprentice by LoganGrimnar42
Its been a while since the last time I gave painting lessons . It always makes me proud when they learn the way of the brush, the art of washes and seek a stillness of the mind ...and it makes me want to strangle them when they inevitably f-things up later on... fun times :D

In the end we've chosen different carapace colors, but technique is the same. Mine is on top, his bellow.

Well done, both of you.

How did you manage to bend the Tail of your Warrior?
I tried boiling water but that only worked for more fragile parts.

Much appreciated :D
I sawed the tail right where carapace ends, then rebuilt it with greenstuff using paper clip as armature and used trygon mandible bit as barb.

Thanks for the answer.
So it is similar to my Parasite [link]

to bad i was hoping for a way to bend such parts without the need to resculpt them.

Yes, very much so -don't sue me for copyright please ^^;
Well,I haven't even tried bending it, its not really difficult thing to do -just roll some gs over a paper clip and make sure one end narrows to a point. You can then bend it as you see fit, and you can also make it longer for a more intimidating and dynamic look :)

edit.
I've just realized that for bending purposes you would need a thiner wire than a paperclip :ashamed:

very nice.
didnt recognize those trygon mandibles...

now you have me thinking about adding those to my Alpha Warriors to distinguish them more from the other Warriors.
But they are already primed and i may better leave them that way before if loose more then i gain.

Both are very cool. I prefer the more subtle colours on the top version though :)
